♦ Project Engineer/Coordinator, Shapoorji Pallonji & Co. Ltd., Mumbai, India
After graduation from Pantnagar, I worked at Construction Materials Group (SPCMG) from July 2012 to July 2014. Part of one of India’s biggest construction groups, SPCMG undertook Turnkey as well as Interior construction projects all over the country. During my time, I overlooked various projects of the company. Some of the projects that I was associated with are as follows:
- Mumbai Metro One Private Ltd.: As one of the biggest projects, my main responsibility was to track progress at 12 stations of the Metro Rail line in Mumbai and take care of vendor billing and payments. I also helped with our company’s billing to clients.
- Sunrise Hospital, Bhandup: Construction project of a hospital in Mumbai, India. The interior construction of a hospital is very tedious and requires precision in most aspects. I overlooked the daily progress of the project, vendor price negotiations as well as accounts.
- National Museum of Indian Cinema, Mumbai: The project for the company was the construction of a glass building for a museum at a prime location in Mumbai. The project required civil as well as interior construction. This project required experience in interior construction as well as structural engineering. In this project, I was the point of contact for the client, all vendors as well as all company employees on the project.
In addition, I worked on various other projects of the company. I also worked in Tenders department of the company which helped enhance my practical knowledge of Estimation and Costing aspect of a Civil Construction project.
